Do it to see it to do it

I’m sure that all the Norwich students, past and present, here at The Partners, share Gareth Robert’s view (below) from this week’s Design Week periodical. I’ll never forget the deadly silences when Ray would lean back on his chair, put his hand into his pocket, then roll and light a cigarette, after which he’d say your idea was a load of bollocks and throw your layout pad to the ground, before continuing on to the next shaking victim.

Ray was a straight talking, bullish teacher, who told it like it was. He taught us that the idea was king and that a simple communication is more important than the looks.  I know for a fact, I probably wouldn’t be here at The Partners if it wasn’t for him. We Wish Ray the best of luck in his retirement.
